Nestled in a serene neighborhood in Kirkland, WA, Gena's Best Care Adult Family Home is a state-licensed facility dedicated to offering compassionate and professional care to senior adults requiring daily assistance. Our home has been licensed by the state of Washington since 2011. It is fully wheelchair accessible, with wide hallways and doors, complemented by wood flooring to facilitate ease of movement. Outdoor areas and sidewalks are also designed for wheelchair and walker accessibility. The home is equipped with a backup power generator, air conditioning, security alarms on all entrance doors, and interconnected fire alarm systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
We offer spacious private rooms, each with its own private bathroom. The bedrooms can be fully furnished or left unfurnished, allowing for customization according to the resident's preferences. All bathrooms are fully equipped and accessible, with two featuring roll-in showers for added convenience.
We warmly invite our residents to join us in the dining room for meals, snacks, and celebrations. This space is also used for tea and coffee gatherings, as well as arts and crafts activities. Our inviting living room is furnished with comfortable recliners, a large TV, and ample space for exercise and various activities.
Our home features a spacious, flat, fully fenced backyard, with a large patio for residents and family members to enjoy.
Gena, the owner of Gena's Best Care Adult Family Home, is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with specialized training in Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Mental Health. With over 13 years of experience in elderly care, she has been a dedicated provider since April 2011. Although Gena resides off-site with her husband and two children, she visits the home daily and is available 24 hours a day as needed.
We employ two caregivers during the day and one caregiver at night, with the option for awake staff during the night, if needed. Hiring qualifications and requirements :

Hospice – We are able to care for you or your loved one up to the end of life. We can access hospice services and provide the necessary total-care with our 24hr awake staff. This allows us to provide excellent care and attention for people who may be bed-bound at the end of life. This will prevent the need for nursing home placement and allow for peace and dignity.
Food is one of the greatest joys in life, and at Gena's Best Care Adult Family Home, we treat it as such. Most of our meals are lovingly cooked from scratch, with menus planned in advance to ensure variety and nutrition. We are committed to accommodating all dietary needs and preferences, ensuring that every resident enjoys their meals.
Throughout the day, we offer snacks and fresh desserts to keep our residents satisfied and happy. While we enjoy preparing made-ahead treats on occasion, we believe in the warmth and comfort of home-cooked food.
Birthdays and holidays are celebrated with special meals, creating memorable moments for our residents. Our annual Christmas party is a highlight, featuring delicious food and entertainment for both residents and their family members.

What is an Adult Family Home?
An adult family home is a traditionally-built home located in a residential neighborhood that has been retrofitted to provide for the needs and safety of seniors. Adult family homes are licensed and regulated by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
